Meet the Voice Behind Sky’s Musical Studio

Hi, I’m Cameron Hern-Gonzalez, the founder and vocal coach of Sky’s Musical Studio! Music and theatre have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember, and teaching others to grow through the arts is my greatest passion.

I started taking voice lessons at 15 years old, where I discovered my love for singing and performing. At 16, I joined the Augusta Broadway Singers, a group I’ve been proud to perform with ever since. That same year, I began exploring theater through multiple productions and vocal recitals, which helped me grow as both a singer and an artist. I’ve also had the chance to learn from talented voice teachers, who helped me improve my technique and boost my confidence.

I have mainly worked with the Augusta Jr. Players, performing in shows like Anne and Emmett (as part of the choir) and Sister Act (when I was 19). I also wrote music for The Lydia Project with the Augusta Players.

At 17, I started stage managing, which opened a new creative path for me and allowed me to support productions behind the scenes. Some of my recent stage management projects include Peter Rabbit and Friends (2024), Ruby Bridges (2025), Ghost (2024), and Akeelah and the Bee (2023). Each production has made me appreciate organization, teamwork, and creating a positive space for young performers to shine.

In addition to my work with the Augusta Jr. Players, I’ve been involved with Inspire Studios for the past two years, serving the summer camp Director. At Inspire, I help teach students, write skits, and prepare young performers for the stage.

Outside of theater, I’ve sung with groups like The Augusta Broadway Singers and the Augusta Youth Chorale (AYC), which helped me expand my vocal range and musical skills.

Currently, I am pursuing my degree in Music Education, learning how to combine my love for teaching with my lifelong passion for performance. I continue to teach private voice lessons through Sky’s Musical Studio and stage manage for Augusta Jr. Players, helping young performers gain confidence and experience both on and off the stage.

At Sky’s Musical Studio, my goal is to create a friendly and encouraging space where every student can find their voice, express themselves, and grow both musically and personally. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, focusing on vocal technique, musical expression, and the confidence needed to shine on stage and beyond.

Music has shaped who I am, and I’m grateful for the chance to share that love with every student who walks through my studio doors. Whether you’re starting your journey or preparing for your next performance, I can’t wait to help you build confidence through the power of music.
