Audition Information – Into the Woods

Sky’s Musical Studio, in partnership with the Jessye Norman School of the Arts, is proud to present Into the Woods, a collaborative and ensemble-driven production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s beloved musical. This production brings together classic fairy tale characters in a thoughtful and intimate storytelling style that emphasizes music, character, and ensemble work.

Auditions are open to performers 18 years of age and older, and no prior theater experience is required. We are seeking performers who are eager to collaborate, willing to engage deeply with the material, and excited to work in a supportive and creative rehearsal environment. Into the Woods is a musically complex show that values preparation, teamwork, and commitment, and performers will be supported throughout the rehearsal process.

This production will focus on strong vocal storytelling, character-driven performances, and meaningful ensemble moments. Whether you are new to theater or returning to the stage, this audition is an opportunity to be part of a creative process that values growth, respect, and shared storytelling. All roles, including ensemble, are an essential part of the production.
